Wendy Schoppert is an experienced corporate board director for public and private companies in the retail, consumer products, financial services and digital marketing industries. She serves on all three primary committees – audit, compensation, and nominating/governance, as well as special committees, and is also serving as a public-company audit committee chair. In her role as board director, Ms. Schoppert provides a breadth of advisory services to management, given her broad executive experience across finance, strategic planning, IT, digital, marketing/brand development, corporate development and international. She is a Board Governance Fellow with NACD (National Association of Corporate Directors) with a CERT Certificate in Cybersecurity Oversight from Carnegie Mellon University, Co-Chair of the Minnesota chapter of WCD (Women Corporate Directors), Vice-Chair of the President’s Council of Cornell Women, and a member of Cornell University Council. Ms. Schoppert was recognized in 2018 at the national level as an NACD Directorship 100 Honoree and at the local level with a Twin Cities Business Outstanding Director Award.

Ms. Schoppert’s most recent executive experience included 9 years at Sleep Number, a $1 billion publicly-held retailer and manufacturer, where she held the roles of EVP/Chief Financial Officer, SVP/Chief Information Officer, SVP of International, Head of Digital, and interim Chief Marketing Officer. Ms. Schoppert was part of the Senior Executive Team at Sleep Number who led the company’s significant turnaround, leading to a market cap increase from $12 million at year-end 2008 to over $1 billion by 2011. Prior to Sleep Number, Ms. Schoppert served on the executive team of the asset management division of U.S. Bank, where she led Private Asset Management and was responsible for $50+ billion of assets under management. She also led product, marketing and corporate development for First American Funds, which was the 5th largest bank-proprietary mutual fund family in the U.S. Ms. Schoppert began her career in the airline industry, where she served in a variety of financial and operational roles at American Airlines, Northwest Airlines, and America West Airlines.
