Biography: Forging products and experiences that positively impact people. Third-year Columbia Engineering computer science and innovation student returning from a full year abroad studying User Experience Design at the University of Sydney under their Faculty of Design Computing. Before Columbia, he dual enrolled at R.I.T. with a focus on mechanical engineering and design in architecture & engineering.
Work experience includes running product design and development for a social enterprise, experience design and strategy consulting for top Australian companies including Accenture & Sydney Metro, and freelance UX/UI designing for companies including Greenpeace Australia. Previous research experience includes published human-computer interaction work for the State Library of Victoria as well as robotics design work with Hod Lipson’s Creative Machines Lab. Outside the realm of design and research, he is also the founding project manager of Natangue-Senegal USA, helping drive change for mothers and children in rural Senegal through projects in schools, health, and sustainable development. Internationally recognized as a Future Global Leaders Fellow, Forbes Under 30 Scholar, OzCHI International Design Challenge Winner, Columbia University C.P. Davis Scholar, and the guy always wearing a bowtie that loves user experience design.
In his free time, you can find him backpacking around the world, sound designing for local theatres, tinkering with laser cut and 3D printed necklaces in the makerspace, and training in Harlem as a black belt in Taekwondo.
