Head of Sourcing Strategy and Supply Chain at the Global Fund
Maxime Parmentier is Head of Sourcing Strategy and Supply chain at the Global Fund to fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria. One of the largest financing institutions in global health, the Global Fund disburses USD 4 bn annually throughout 140 countries to fight the three diseases. Firstly appointed as the chief of staff to the CFO then to revamp the sourcing department, Max joined the organization to support one of the most critical transformations in the global health sector. Maxime has an hybrid career between public and private sectors among small and large companies. Prior to the Global Fund, he worked at the UN and in small start-ups and spent 5 years at McKinsey dedicating his time on designing strategies for multiple clients on the topics of climate change, fight against deforestation and bio-energy. He’s currently involved in many side projects, such as the roll-out of Social Impact Bonds in Europe, as means to spearhead disruptive social and business models to foster development and support the poor. Max holds a Master of Sc. in Management from the Louvain School of Management in Belgium, a Master in International Management from the Community of European Management Schools (CEMS) as well as a Master in International Economic Policy from Columbia University in New York. He lives in Geneva.
