Africa Business Development Manager - Primary Markets, London Stock Exchange Group

Manji leads on business development for London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG)’s primary markets team, where is responsible for the Africa region. In this role, she works with executives and senior management teams at African-based/focused companies looking to float shares on the London markets, ensuring that they receive the necessary support and guidance to successfully execute an initial public offering (IPO). She is also responsible for maintaining and building a network of stakeholders including corporate and financial advisers, investors, and trade bodies to ensure that there is a vibrant community that continues to support African companies listed on the London Stock Exchange and/or looking to come on the market. Additionally, she works closely with other business units at LSEG to help drive the organization’s Africa strategy.  

Prior to joining LSEG, Manji was Senior Vice President, West Africa, at risk consulting firm Teneo Intelligence, where she co-managed the company’s research and advisory services on sub-Saharan Africa.  She has 10 years’ consulting experience, providing market entry, business development, and stakeholder engagement support to non-African and African businesses operating in sub-Saharan African markets. She has also worked with several African governments, helping to formulate investment-friendly policies aimed at attracting inward investment flows, as well to organise conferences in Europe, Asia, and in Africa to help market investment opportunities on the continent. 

Manji is passionate about Africa’s social and economic transformation, and particularly leveraging the continent’s human resources – especially its women - to help drive this change.

She holds a BA in Global Affairs and French from George Mason University (USA), an MSc in Global Politics from the London School of Economics (UK) and is currently pursuing an MBA at the Africa Leadership University School of Business (Rwanda).
