Jean Karoubi

Mr. Jean Karoubi is the Principal of the LongChamp Group, Inc., a Wealth Management advisory company. He is a veteran of the alternative investment industry, as an active participant since the early ’80s. Notably, he has been part of the Security and Exchange Commission (“SEC”) roundtables on hedge funds. He graduated from the University of Paris where he obtained two Masters Degrees, in Law (1969) and in Economics (1970), and also graduated from the Institut d’Études Politiques of Paris (“Sciences Po”). He then attended the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School as a Fulbright scholar (MBA ’73). Prior to creating and being deeply involved in the Future Leaders Foundation, his past philanthropic activities include having been instrumental in establishing the U.S. operations of Doctors Without Borders, where he was one of the founding members of its Advisory Board. He has been associated for over forty years to Mr. Charles “Chuck” Feeney, for whom he created, and has been a member of the Board of Directors since inception of, the French American Charitable Trust, the philanthropic entity run by Chuck Feeney’s family. In recognition of his endeavors, he received the Fulbright Award for Global Business and Philanthropy. He lives in New York with his wife, Dr. Michelle de la Mothe, and has three grown daughters.
