Biography: I am a member of the class of 2018 at Harvard studying Mathematics and Statistics, and I am currently spending Summer 2017 working on the pricing team at JP Morgan. I’m actively seeking post-grad opportunities in New York or Boston in finance or tech, so please reach out at firstname.lastname@example.org.
I took a gap year in the middle of college to work on the Data Science team at Tribe Dynamics, an influencer marketing SaaS startup in San Francisco. I was responsible for all of the company’s data reporting and data integrity needs, and I also served as project manager for many company-wide initiatives, including our expansion into international markets. Additionally, I was the in-house expert and de facto product manager for our main internal software tool. It was a very cross-functional, high-visibility role, in which I collaborated with the Business Operations, and Publications/Research teams, worked closely with the CEO, and left a lasting impact by improving many company processes. I was dubbed the “Swiss Army knife,” because I perform best when I'm working as a free electron, with many teams and people, and when my "role" changes often. I also come with experience in real estate investment, food service, and biology research.
I’m a good listener and I’m always looking out for my team. In addition, I’m a lightning-quick learner, and as well as an expert at process improvement/automation, solving ambiguous problems, and managing multitudinous projects on tight timelines. At Harvard I am involved with the Harvard Hong Kong Society and the Organization of Asian American Sisters in Service. I’m an avid diarist, baker, and museum-goer with a bent towards impressionist and post-impressionist art, a devoted fan of Haruki Murakami’s stories and novels, and I consider Sylvia Plath my spirit animal. Among the causes about which I care most are eating disorder awareness, combating the stigma against disability and mental illness, and sexual assault on college campuses.
I speak Cantonese, Mandarin, Spanish, and a bit of French. I am an alum of Prep for Prep and Trinity School NYC and a proud member of Lime Connect.
