Biography: My name is Chaltu Musse, and I am from St. Paul, Minnesota. I was born in Nairobi, Kenya, but my family and I are Oromo from Ethiopia. My immigration and resettlement experience in the Twin Cities is what drives many of my passions: I am an Ambassador for Students of Salaam (SOS), a refugee resettlement organization at Yale University. I am also a committee member for Students Unite Now, a student action program that campaigns for financial aid reform. Before arriving at Yale, I served as an Applicant Ambassador and Lead Fellow for The Joyce Ivy Foundation, a scholarship program for high-achieving low-income girls in the Midwest. At Yale, I study Political Science with a concentration in Public Policy.
