Carly Hugo is an Emmy-nominated producer based in New York, and the co-founder of Loveless. Carly recently produced HBO’s Nora Ephron documentary, Everything Is Copy, which premiered at the New York Film Festival and was nominated for two Primetime Emmys, including Outstanding Documentary. She is currently in pre-production on Pippa Bianco’s Share, based on Bianco’s short film that won 1st Prize of the Cinéfondation section of the 2015 Cannes Film Festival and a Special Jury Recognition at SXSW. She’s currently also in production on two feature documentaries for HBO and the Austrian film To The Night. She produced the HBO documentary Suited with Lena Dunham and Jenni Konner (Sundance 2016) and Five Nights in Maine, starring David Oyelowo, Dianne Wiest and Rosie Perez (Toronto 2015). Carly's other recent films include Sundance premieres Mother of George, Vera Farmiga’s Higher Ground (Sony Pictures Classics), and Hot Coffee (HBO Documentary Films), which was awarded a Television Academy Honor from the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. Carly's co-producing credits include Bachelorette, Peter and Vandy, Beware the Gonzo, and Beautiful Darling. She produced Self-Titled, a multi-part documentary about Beyoncé’s visual album and the music video for "Rocket," directed by Beyoncé. Carly has been a fellow of Tribeca All Access, IFP/Cannes Producers’ Network, and Film Independent, and she served as a mentor for the Sundance Creative Producing Initiative. Carly grew up outside of Boston and has a B.A. in Film Studies from Columbia.
